For storage and fermentation
Speidel’s storage tank is suited for the temporary and long term storage as well as for the fermentation of must, wine, juice, water, cooking oil etc. It was produced in accordance with the current guidelines for food utensils and is absolutely tasteless. The barrel’s oxygen permeability makes for a positive interaction.
The top layer is slightly curved in order for the barrel to be filled up to the fermentation lock. The barrel can be entirely emptied without tilting.
The high quality PE material is natural-coloured and has no pigments. It is food safe and UV resistant. The barrel’s thick walls make it very robust and stable. Our barrels are suited for long-term-use temperatures up to 60 °C, in case of food up to 40 °C.
